Excessive Ink Film Thickness

Too much ink is applied to the printing plate and subsequently transferred onto the substrate. You will see a shiny anilox roll.


  • Doctor Blade Tip is too thick
  • Doctor Blade is worn out
  • Ink viscosity is out of spec


  • Use thin doctor blade tip (Stable or Lamella / Preground)
  • Change doctor blade
  • Make sure ink viscosity is in spec
  • use OptiPrint, PowerPrint, CeraPrint, CeraFlex XT, DuroBlade
