Drying In

The ink is drying between the doctor blade and the impression roller. The ink in some cells will not transfer to the substrate.

Drying In

Causes

  • Ink viscosity too high
  • Solvent too fast
  • Doctor Blade too far from impression roller
  • Ink temperature too high

Solutions

  • Lower the ink viscosity
  • change solvent blend to achieve slower drying
  • Adjust blade position to get closer to impression roller
  • Use OptiPrint, PowerPrint, CeraPrint or CeraPrint XT
