Illustration printing
The optimal cutting point
Problem case
If the slitter is set too deep, the paper web touch the slitter at first and tears, which can lead to dust and ripped ribbons.
Solution
- Setting up the correct overlap in relation to outer diameter of the slitter and the axle offset
Tip:
Ideally the anvil dives 0,5 mm in to the paper web. The web hits the anvil and is stabilised and cut at the highest point of the anvil. To illustrate the position of the cutting point you can lead a string instead of the paper web over the lead rollers.
