Ribbons tearing during seperation

Problem case

If, after the cutting process the ribbon of the anvil is lead over the ribbon of the slitter, it is possible that both ribbons will be damaged. In the worst case this can lead to ribbon break.

Solution

• Some cutting systems can turn the cutting unit and therefore change the side of slitter and anvil
• If this option doesn’t exist, after the cut the anvil ribbon should be pressed with help of a roller against the ribbon of the slitter.
