Overspeed of knives

Problem case

If the overspeed of the knife is incorrect in proportion to the web, the following problems can occur:

• Alow overspeed leads to unclean cuts, is the slitter slower as the web, it will lead to ribbon breaks.
• A high overspeed leads to more dust formation and higher wear.

Solution

• Setup of overspeed

Recommendation: 
The overspeed is ideally 0,5 m/s faster than the paper web.
