Concentricity tolerance too high

Problem case

If the concentricity axial as radial is not given, it can influence the drive of the slitter and lead to breaks on the knives – especially with carbide knives.

Solution

• Clean the knife holder
• Replace bearings
• Setup knives with torque wrench and tighten screws crosswise

Recommendation:
The concentricity should ≥0,03 mm axial and radial, the axial concentricity should be ≥0,01 mm on the anvil
